"Working with athletes at the top of their game brings me so much — the opportunity to be involved in the height of human endeavour through sport, pride in supporting their dreams when they represent our people and nation and the constant challenges that keep me sharp. I also carry a deep sense of responsibility to the athletes, their sport, Aotearoa New Zealand and myself. I’m just grateful to do what I do."
Collaborating with sporting codes to enhance high performance programmes. Roles include performance pathways, high-performance coaching, investments, and team leadership.

“My role is to drive the HPSNZ strategy, acting as a partner and critical friend to National Sports Organisations to help achieve our shared goals. After five years in the finance industry, I was drawn back to the world of high performance sport – an environment that shaped much of my adult life. The impact of sport goes far beyond competition; it energises individuals and communities. I feel blessed and grateful to be part of something that has such a powerful ripple effect across society.”
Providing innovative solutions, research, and data management to drive NZ’s high performance sport success. Roles include research and engineering, athlete monitoring, data analysis, insights research, business analysis, and business systems.

“We design and deliver cutting-edge projects that enhance athlete performance, drawing inspiration from coaches, athletes, analysts and engineers. As a mechanical engineer, I work on everything from enclosures for data capture devices to custom gym equipment. One of the most exciting challenges has been developing the next generation of bespoke intruments for one of our highest performing sports. Pushing past the success of its previous version, we’ve tackled complex design demands—balancing durability, weight, and usability in harsh environments. Seeing its impact on the Paris campaign was incredible motivation for the team to take it even further.”
Leading wellbeing initiatives and supporting athlete and system-wide wellbeing across high performance sport. Roles include performance life coaching, leadership development, and women in high performance sport programmes.

"My role supports the development and implementation of wellbeing projects in high performance sport, including exploring innovative ways to create enriching performance environments. I appreciate the dynamic environment and the enthusiasm everyone brings to their work. It’s inspiring to see such passion and dedication. Sport can have a powerful impact on society, and we aim to lead the way with our bespoke wellbeing initiatives.”
Championing a workplace where people feel valued and inspired to grow by hiring great talent, fostering inclusivity and shaping a thriving culture.

“My role is all about supporting our people, from recruitment to fostering a positive and collaborative workplace. As a new starter, I’ve really appreciated how welcoming and well-structured my own onboarding experience has been. What stands out most so far is the strong sense of purpose and passion across the organisation. I’m excited to be part of a team that’s committed to making a real difference in Aotearoa.”
Overseeing finance, IT, property, business support and risk management to drive operational excellence across the Sport NZ Group.

"As a small legal team, we have so many opportunities to make an impact which is incredibly rewarding and offers great variety in our work. Coming from large corporate organisations, the biggest difference I’ve noticed at HPSNZ is the sense of aroha. This shone through early on when I attended a farewell morning tea and the heartfelt speeches about their contribution were so inspiring they brought everyone to tears… including me, even though I hadn’t known them well at all! It’s the passion and dedication of our people that make HPSNZ so special.”
